EVERGREY To Play Special CD-Release Show In Germany This Weekend
March 21, 2006Sweden's EVERGREY will play a special CD-release show at Matrix in Bochum, Germany on Saturday, March 25. "The show will consist of 45 minutes of heavy-laden, hard hitting metal with a mixture of brand new and old songs," reads a posting on the band's web site. "The doors open at 10:00 p.m. After the show you'll have the chance to mess around with the whole lot and have a drinking session."
As previously reported, EVERGREY's video for the track "Monday Morning Apocalypse" has been posted online at Yahoo! Musik Deutschland. The clip was shot with director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company (DIMMU BORGIR, CHILDREN OF BODOM, LACUNA COIL).
"Monday Morning Apocalypse" is the title cut of the Swedish metallers' new album, due on April 4 via InsideOut Music. The follow-up to 2004's "The Inner Circle" was recorded at Division One Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden by the experienced production team of Sanken Sandquist and Stefan Glaumann, who have previously worked with such artists as RAMMSTEIN, BON JOVI, BRITNEY SPEARS and DEF LEPPARD. The "Monday Morning Apocalypse" single recently entered the Swedish national chart at position No. 19.
EVERGREY made their first-ever headlining appearance in England on March 7 at a sold-out The Underworld in Camden, London. EVERGREY have also been confirmed as one of the headliners of ProgPower USA VII festival, set to take place on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16 at Earthlink Live in Atlanta. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m. EST via all Ticketmaster outlets. Only 900 tickets will be made available to the public. Advance Gold Badges, which presently have a two-year wait list, are sold out.
EVERGREY will be teaming up with IN FLAMES, THROWDOWN and NEVERMORE for a North American tour beginning in early May.
